Can you be a Christian and an elite athlete? That’s the question we’re asking on this new podcast. Having met a series of elite sportspeople over the course of the year, we now discuss this key issue that comes out of many of the interviews. Maybe it’s something you’re asking yourself as you seek to follow Jesus or are considering doing so?

In this episode, Danno chairs the discussion as former Olympic rower Debbie Flood and ex-Premier League footballer Linvoy Primus explain how they realised that it was possible to combine elite sporting performance and Christian faith. Both Debbie and Linvoy are honest about the battles they faced in following Jesus at the highest level of sport, but they’re in no doubt this was what God called them to do and not only that – He enabled them to shine for Him.

During the podcast, we hear clips from previous interviews with wild man turned rugby coach Chris Jones, ex-England women’s hooker Ann O’Flynn and Paralympic sprinter Niel Louw. Each pose key challenges for elite sportspeople, in particular, and get our panellists reflecting on their own experiences.

You are being parented by God. Even as an adult, you are not past training because you never matriculated from correction. You never graduate from chastening. He disciplines you today even though it is painful for Him and you so that you don't mess up your tomorrow. So don’t refuse God's chastening. If you endure it, it causes Godly character. It protects you from poor decisions later in life.
However, there's nothing more transformational than a changed mind. Christianity is more than a religion, it requires a deep internal mental change. In order to change your mind, Apostle Paul warns us that the process God uses to change your mind is painful but in the end, it yields a life that is pleasing to God.You may want to change a read of your life but are not ready to make a mental change it requires. The man by the pool of Bethesda wanted the healing but didn't make a mental change until Jesus showed him how. Some people just want to wallow in empathy and enjoy the pity of others.
Don't trade your future for a life of bitterness because bitterness is terrible. It leaves you so dysfunctional that you're out of sync with God’s purpose and His plan for your life. Get your life together. God wants to do something in you and through you. He wants to bless you. So change your mindset. God is consistently, throughout the entire span of your life, going to be in the process of training you. Training sometimes requires some painful correction. You need to make your mind available for change. Work on your relationship with all men. Pursue peace with all men. Be a conduit for God to flow through you, for His blessings to flow through you.
Stop fighting against every little thing. Let it pass! Make up your mind every morning to forgive everybody you will encounter that day so you're flowing in the spirit of mercy. Unforgiveness hurts you more than those who have wronged you. Work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the move of God in their lives. Holiness is not a matter of anything external. It is a matter of the heart.

Are sport and faith connected? Where is God in your sport? The Bible says that God made you in his likeness, and created you with gifts to be creative on the pitch as you play. Jesus promises to go with us always as we go to the world of sport - will you worship him as you play?

Summer travel of 2022 is mad! Long queues, delays, cancellations, and missing baggage. Sharing with you the latest data on the most delayed airlines and airports around the world. Think twice before you travel!

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) had the most number of flight cancellations in Europe after its pilots went on a strike. The troubled airline has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US. Eurowings is another carrier that has about 8% of their flights canceled last minute.

Toronto Pearson Airport saw the most flight delays in North America, followed by Dallas Fort Worth and New York-JFK. 46% of Air Canada flights run late. In the last 30 days, an average of one out of five flights a day arrived behind schedule in the U.S.

I am also sharing some useful tips on how to travel these days. Fly in the morning on non-stop flights, bring only carry-on bags, download airline app, knowing your rights and being patient are some of the key takeaways to survive delays and cancellations.

At the end of the video, aviation expert talked about when will we expect a smoother travel experience and how to fix the current problem.
